Who Elected Edward Snowden?

I'm pretty fond of representative government (even if it seems somewhat flawed at times). What state put Edward Snowden in office and told him it was okay to reveal national secrets?

You could say that for any whistleblower.

It's one thing to expose corruption or environmental damage or unsafe work practices in this country. It's another to advise other countries how we're keeping tabs on them.

Its not just people in other countries, its people in this country.

Do you feel positive about Bradley Manning as well?

Absolutely not. Manning should have got the death penalty on his case. But what these two men did is vastly different. Nobody died as a result of Snowden's whistle blowing. Many men died as a result of Manning's. Snowden did what he did because what he saw was basically illegal. Nothing Manning leaked was illegal, or wrong doing. Even the gun cam footage Manning leaked was a case of collateral damage, which happens in war. Snowden showed how the American people are being wronged, Manning was a transvestite who was angry with his Sergeant for demanding he come to work on time. Snowden wanted to help the American people, in the end Manning wanted to hurt them.
