Holy War
The leaders of the Catholic church have some screwed up priorities.

Oops
Joe Biden makes a mistake and says the president has a big stick...we all
have a good laugh. Dick Cheney makes a mistake and orders the invasion of
Iraq...tens of thousands of people die and our deficit problem grows
immensely.
Unintended Consequences
Bill Maher: Take Your Child To Work Day is a really dangerous concept. That's
how we ended up with George W. Bush.

Hey, Marcus...Maybe You're Gay
This theory makes total sense to me. Look at all the recent examples.

Hypocrite on Steroids
So, now Paul Ryan doesn't like Ayn Rand? How convenient.

The Boys are Back in Town
Romney isn't hiding the radical plans he has for this country. He just wants to wipe out most of the social progress made since the end of the 19th century. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/romneys-principled-radical-view-for-america/2012/04/25/gIQA8ZllhT_story.html?hpid=z2

Cause and Effect
The price of gas is coming down. I guess the president must have
recently ok'd more drilling in federal lands, offshore and in ANWR.
No? You mean these price spikes are caused by rampant speculation?

There are Dollars and Then There are Dollars

Last night Jon Stewart did a great piece on how
the Republican perspective on money changes
depending on what the subject is.
When they were trying to defund Planned Parenthood,
they railed about how we can't afford to spend
over 300 million dollars a year on the program.
But when they were speaking out against the
president's Buffett Rule legislation they acted
like the 4.7 billion per year it would collect
was the change you might find under your
couch cushions.

Hey, Mitt...You Know These Speeches Are Recorded...

Mitt Romney supports women who want to stay home with
their kids. Mitt Romney wants all women who receive
welfare to work.
Flip-flop, flip-flop, flip-flop.

Brutally Unfair

Tornado season always makes me stop and ponder
humanity's relationship with God. For example,
Oklahoma is a very religious state and every
year the Supreme Being basically rototills their
asses. Here in Washington state, church attendance
is on the low side and we rarely have any natural
disasters to speak of.
Is there some cosmic logic at play here I'm just
not comprehending?

Distractions

It's amazing how many little distractions there are in
a presidential campaign. Today we had national foodfight
regarding the fact a Democratic operative said Anne Romney
hasn't worked a day in her life.
This will pass quickly. What the Democrats really need
to talk about is Mitt Romney's support of the Paul Ryan
budget. What they really need to talk about is how badly
it will hurt middle class and poor women while at the same
time cutting taxes for the rich.

Paul Ryan's Trojan Horse

This country needs to make some big financial changes.
Government spending will need to come down and taxes
will need to increase.
Giving even bigger tax cuts to the wealthy makes
no sense whatsoever.

Which Way, America?

Conservatives of the Court

I have to laugh these days when I hear Republicans
complaining about activist judges. They have five
of them on the Supreme Court.

We Wouldn't Elect a Scientologist

It was interesting yesterday when a Ron Paul supporter
attempted to ask Romney about a Mormon doctrine concerning
interracial marriage. Mitt gave a curt one word answer
and moved on (though later he added some softball stuff
about how nice Mormons are to each other).
I think in some ways we've gone overboard on being
sensitive about not questioning the religious
beliefs of political candidates. This is a man
who could potentially become the leader of the country
for at least four years. We deserve to know specifically
why he belongs to this particular religion and what
it's doctrines are.
