Travesty

I liked what one Michigan legislator said yesterday..."good legislation gets debated, bad legislation gets rammed through in the middle of the night."

Do you mean like Obamacare?

So much for freedom of choice. I thought you progressives were for that concept. If someone wants a job but doesn't want to join a union, which the dues thereof go to support political parties/causes which they disapprove, shouldn't they have such a right? Or do liberal politics trump such choices, my friend?

Typical right wing lie above.

What Clif said.

This is all just stuff designed by Republicans to keep less money from going to Democrats, which I'm sure most Republicans have no problem with (in light of how sad the GOP has become). Whatever can be done to keep dollars out of left-wing coffers, the right-wingers will be in favor of it. This is less about the economy and more just about busting unions.

States with Republican-controlled legislatures or ones where it's evenly split will probably join in with this sort of thing, and it will take some time before any real analysis can be done on how effective this union-busting really is for helping the economy.

As for the more immediate political goal it achieves, that will be more obvious. The left was already fired up enough to keep the GOP out of the White House. Does the right really want to fire the left up some more?

"We must close union offices, confiscate their money and put their.
leaders in prison. We must reduce workers salaries and take away their.
right to strike.” Hitler, May 2, 1933

I wonder why the right wing always follows this lead?

Let me get this straight, Cliff. You are comparing conservatives to Hitler, but are insisting that it is NOT fascist to compel people to have to pay union dues to get a job? (Union dues that typically go to support a political party that some people actually oppose on principle, I might add.)

Hmmm, it seems you need a new dictionary to look up the term "fascist". Mandatory compulsion seems to be something far more in common with Herr Obama and the left than it is with the linguini-spined GOP today.

Fascism:
1.An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.
2.(in general use) Extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice.

This point might not make the DEMs look massive hypocrits were it not for ObamaCare. Well, in the words of our President elections have consequences. I worked very hard with State Rep Shirkey these last few months to get this bill on the Governors desk and it was a great day for us. Even though some union thugs tried to kill my mother by dropping a thousand pound tent on her yesterday. Yes, she was the old lady Steven Crowder was talking about when a UAW thug sucker punched him. That's the UAW in a nutt shell, willing to attack old women to force people to pay them union dues! The union deployed a small army ot thugs yesterday to no avail, and criminal charges will be filed. In an era of cell phone video these intimidation tactics will be exposed and those who order them will gi to prison where they belong. We won and they lost. We've been trying to get this done for 15 years and yesterday we got it. Its a done deal, and the tyranny of the Teachers Union and UAW and the Teamsters is over.

Obamacare was debated ad nauseum not only in Congress but also in town hall meetings all over the country. This was rammed through by a lying sack of shit governor and his ruthless Koch obeying allies.

Free, I have to say there are times the exploits you mention on here make me scratch my head a little bit...

Very simple, I volunteered my time to my state rep who was instramental in passing this bill, and my mom who is on the county republican executive committy was even more in those trenches. It was our district who was most responsibe for this thing. My mission was to get the Ron Paul crew on board for central Michigan as well as veteran voters so as to put pressure on legislators to vote for it and as you can see my mission was acompished. We inundated them. I've been at this for two months, like full time job as an on the ground grass roots volunteer, while my moms job was to coordinate betwwen the county and district executive committy and groups like americans for prosperity and freedom works. A lot of republican legislators and the governor were scared of this bill and so we ad to push them.

And elections have consequences, so deal with it.

As for the thugs who attacked my mom yesterday, ahe was in the freedonm works tent by the state capital when bus loads of UAW thugs showed up and tore the 1000 pound tent she was in down nearly on top of her and then smashed our equipment. One spit in her face. When fox news comedian steven crowder stood up for her he got soucker punched for it. I'm sad I couldn't be there because I'd have shot that fucker dead on the spot. But that's okay, I'm committed to being there from now on and they'd better not try that again. My mom is pressing charges and video she took of her attackers is now in the hands of the state police

There is a funny post over on KOS about us strong arming our legislators. Seems KOS agrees it happened but he blames Dick DeVos and the Kochs... I guess that makes him feel better than having to admit it was done by a snall Army of people just like little old me

The right wing would vote to disenfranchise solidarity ............

Funny when you think about it that way.

Workers here fighting for their rights against a overbearing ruling elite, just as they have done in Poland, and the political representatives of said ruling elite fight back with police state tactics, like they did in Michigan recently.

free0352 said...

Excuse me no, there was no attack on collective barganing in Michigan. Thats federally protected.

This simply means you don't have to pay union dues if you don't want to. Its really that simple.

clif said...

Sorry but the people running the attacks against Unions are in the same ideological meme of the ruling elite control over the populace that solidarity fought against, no matter how much your panties get twisted by that thought.

free0352 said...

Yeah fight those police state tactics when they spit in my 66 year old mother"s face. They sure are brave souls taking on a senior citizen... Woman no less. And all so they can force people to join their union and make people pay them dues. Aren't they big men?

Are these Lib commentors real or just different names Jim uses to make it seem like other people really think like him?

Don't know but you right wing clowns do a good Larry, Curly and Moe routine though.
