And Free is right. I went to Cabelas yesterday and bought a new shotgun. The people were stacked two deep around the gun counters. I asked the salesman if that was typical for a Wednesday. He said,"No, that is because of the election results."
Conservatives and those that know history and economics are deathly afraid right now, and with damned good reason. This wonderful statist and redistributionist society that curbs our consititutional rights might be fine with progressives, but not so much with other Americans.
Well, maybe you should be mindful at least. Last time Democrats and Republicans fought each other 600,000 people were killed and half the country was destroyed.
Speaking of, just bought a new Glock the day before the election. I knew inflation on them was going to be murder. I bought the pistol for 500.00 on Monday and today the same model was selling for 700.00.
Barack Obama has to be the best gun salesman in human history. Just wish I had my FFL by now. Damn, I'd be cashing in.
Oh I don't care. I'm after all the only person in this room that thrives in that environment. I actually win out pretty well in that scenario, so be my guest. Of course I don't advocate it because my family would suffer. But hey, I don't fear it.
I also don't think its all that likely. But hey, some veteran of the Mexican War was probably saying that in 1860 so what do I know?
Oh, don't misunderstand me. I am not going after people or wanting to overthrow the government. My desire to better arm myself is a matter of prudence. When the economy totally collapses because of the God-damned politicians spending more money we don't have to give to the entitlement mentality voters, I want to be prepared when that dollar is no longer of any value. It is then that we will become Greece and thes Occupy types will start such violence here. I have found that simply racking the fore-end of a Remington 870 12 gauge will typically disuade most such idiots if they come after me or mine.
