Another conservative columnist laments the fact the GOP
has spent all this time and energy blustering and will
likely walk away having accomplished nothing.

Taking the country back, one talking point at a time

On the contrary, if the Republicans prevent the status quo where the Democrats continue to spend money we do not have, then they have indeed accomplished much!
Well it remains to be seen if the Republicans will have the balls to take it all the way... I hope they do. Anyway I'd love to sound confident but I never underestimate their ability to wimp out.
Oh BTW, in fairness they submitted a plan. You guys rejected it. Remember the Paul Ryan thing?
God bless the Republicans. Our country might yet survive the four years of Obama.
The country has been through far worse. The civil war, war of 1812, even sep-11th was worse really. This will likely get on par with the Great Depression which was simply miserable... but the death toll at Bull Run puts things in persepective.
If the Republicans drive the economy off a cliff, Obama won't be the one who gets punished.
The Republicans will save the economy, then Obama will take all the credit. The media will then make Obama the hero.
If the Republicans drive the economy off a cliff
It already has been. Obama might as well be Mr. Toad. If Bush got it stuck in a ditch, Obama stole the wheels and set the body ablaze after. I say till we get a balenced budget amendment and get rid of these absurd regulations, we keep cutting up his credit card. He claims the sky will fall, but it won't get any worse. He gets 200billion a month, really how much more does he need? Answer: ZERO, he needs less.
